Welcome to BBB Bites – Customer App. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you use our app to discover restaurants, place food orders, watch promotional videos, and track deliveries.

By using the BBB Bites Customer App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the app.

• To create and manage your food orders from start to delivery
• To show restaurants and menus near your current location
• To play restaurant promotional videos and food highlight reels in the app
• To send real-time order status push notifications
• To process payments securely
• To personalise your feed based on your preferences and watch history
• To improve app performance, speed, and user experience
• To provide customer support and resolve disputes

The BBB Bites Customer App shows Food Shorts — short food videos — directly on your homepage feed. These are uploaded by restaurant partners to showcase their dishes and offers.

BBB Bites supports two payment options for customers in the UAE:

• Your location is used to show restaurants near you and set your delivery address
• Location is accessed only when the app is open and in use
• Location is not tracked in the background when the app is closed
• You may manually enter a delivery address without enabling GPS

We never sell your personal data. We share data only as needed to deliver our service:

• Restaurant Partner: Your order details shared for food preparation
• Delivery Partner: Your name, phone, and delivery address for handover
• Payment Gateway: Secure payment processing (PCI-DSS compliant)
• Firebase (Google): Secure database, storage, and push notifications
• Law Enforcement: Only if required by UAE law or court order

We use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to send you notifications:

• Order placed confirmation
• Restaurant accepted your order
• Food is being prepared
• Delivery partner is on the way
• Order delivered successfully
• Payment confirmed
• Special offers and promotions from nearby restaurants (optional)

You can disable notifications anytime via your device settings or in App Settings → Notifications.

• All data stored on Firebase Firestore with strict security rules
• Payments encrypted via secure payment gateway (PCI-DSS Level 1)
• HTTPS encryption for all data transmission
• Videos served over CDN with secure signed URLs
• Access restricted to authorised personnel only
• Regular security reviews and audits of our systems

We retain your data as long as your account is active. Upon deletion request:

• Personal data deleted within 30 days
• Order history retained for 1 year for legal and tax compliance in the UAE
• Video watch history deleted within 14 days of account deletion
• Payment records retained as required by UAE financial regulations

The BBB Bites Customer App is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has used our app, please contact us immediately and we will delete the relevant data.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our services or UAE regulations. Changes will be notified via in-app notification or email. Continued use of the BBB Bites app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
